Difficulty in Setting Up SQL Reporting Server For Dynamics CRM 4.0

We are setting up Dynamics CRM 4.0 as a test for a customer. They had it installed on site a few years ago by a different company which has since gone out of business. They don't want to upgrade to CRM 2011 but finding support documentation for 4.0 is getting difficult.

We have gone through the installation process and have not had many problems but one which is really causing us some major issues is SQL Reporting Server with SQL Server 2005 Express.

SQL Server and SRS Server have installed without too much hassle and most of the settings in SRS have worked out fine but every time we try to finish of the configuration by going into the web service identity pane we get an error message box popup which says...

There was an error while switching panels. The most likely cause is an error retrieving WMI properties. The exception details are: Object Reference Not Set To An Instance Of an Object

This is causing us some major issues as we need to switch them across to some new Windows Server 2003 Enterprise servers due to a major overhaul we have been undertaking for them. We have read everything we can get our hands on and have checked permissions, security settings, the WMI logs, and nothing jumps out at us.

The service login details for the SQL Server, SRS Server, and IIS ApplicationPool are all under the local built-in Network Account. Every time the error comes up we check the application event logs in Admin Tools to see if anything stands out to us but there are no errors coming up in the log which we can use to resolve the issue. Any support we can get on this issue would be gratefully appreciated.

Thanks in advance guys.
