CRM 2011 Account inherits address from Lead

If a Lead is qualified into an Account, among other things, the account will inherit the Lead's address.

Is it CRM 2011 native behavior for the Lead's address always end up as Address #1 of the Account (or Contact) or will the Lead's address occupy the first available account address record instead?
